Hey! How you doin? Yes, I just quoted Little Mix. And yes, i love those amazing girls.
So British Explosions promised an active blog from now on and as a fresh start, a great person suggested that I should post something about myself. To those who are readers of this blog, you all know that I haven't posted something about ME. I always post interviews, features and posts similar to that so it makes this post something new to you! Thinking of an introduction was harder than i thought so be patient with me. :)
My full name is Jan Alicia David but I grew up using the name Alicia and Ali. Why? Jan, for me was a guy's name and when people pronounce and say it, their accent makes it sound like a boy's name (John). I was bullied because of that name too. So let's just stick with Ali! Alright? I grew up here in the Manila, Philippines but a part of my family are living in Canada so I got to travel a lot there and stay for a month during summer and Christmas (but that happens rarely) vacations. Age? Well i'm turning 14 but I have a crazy mind of a 4 year old and a serious mind of a 17 year old together so I'm not the type of 'oh em gee-yeah totes-shoo away". Seriously. I also have a British-Canadian accent whenever I talk in English. I just had it these past years and no, it doesn't sound cool, it sounds mental.
People say I'm talkative but I call myself sociable. See the difference? They told me that I'm sweet too. I just don't know if I should believe in them. Haha.
I have black hair that needs to be tamed regularly. We all have hair problems and that is mine. Haha. I have dark brown eyes which is close to black. Also, I wear glasses that I remove just for picture purposes. My height is one of the things that I'm thankful for. I'm 5"3 and if there is height; there is weight. But let us not talk about that because all of us are blessed with a unique shape. I have message though: People who are not skinny are people whom I adore. Period.
I have a picture of me there somewhere. Please don't hate me. I am not really the most photogenic. Right now, I just have 28 pictures of myself saved in my camera roll.
HEY! HEY! HEY! You may want to read this part! My likes, dislikes and everything alike. Let's start with Music?
Growing up with music makes me attach to it and listen to different kinds of it. I went through the stage of liking Disney music. High School Musical, Hannah Montana, and Disney artists. Yep no hate. I was in love with them. But year 2010 and 2011 opened and changed some of my music taste and experience. I entered the world of British music. If you knew me through Twitter, you would know that I am multi-fandom. It means I am a fan of many lovely artists from Great Britain.
So I obviously became a fan of Brits and bands. Head banging to all the songs, talking in their accent, saving up money for their albums and concerts, and supporting in every way I can. My studies were affected of course but I managed to handle and balance it by prioritizing it. I would love to share all my music feels but I'm afraid you have to tweet me if you want a post with all of those. I might give you a random playlist too just tweet me: Hey Ali. #britishexplosions *wink wink* lol
I love Brits, bands and cold coffee. Yes, that is my Twitter bio and I've explained the first two so i'll explain the third one: Cold coffee. Ed Sheeran. Haha kidding. It sounded cool so I placed it there. I just love coffee. Hot, cold, or in whatever form it is in. It's an addiction that started when i was, i think, 11 years old. Oh and I also have a thing for people with nice eyes. I just do. Come on they're captivating! Did I mention that I love guitarists and drummers too. I mean who doesn't love them? Last but not the least, I love to write. I just don't want to express much about it now, i'm sorry. Maybe sometime too! I don't want you guys sleeping in front of your computer or dropping your phone.
I have problems too just like everybody. 'Growing up stage' is a stage of wanting things that are not needed, things you cannot have, meeting people you want to meet but you can't. Do you get me? Well I am currently on that stage right now and I think some of you are on that stage too. It just so happen that I was blessed with some wisdom to choose what to and what NOT to do. I have a message for that too: Just smile and sort things out slowly.
That's all you needed to know for now, i guess! I'm a weird ninety's kid, multi-fandom nerd, and according to my lovely twitter friends, I'm #DaBritKiddo, #TheBritOne and #BritainsNightmare! ♥
Thank you for reading this whole post if you did! I love you forever! I hope you guys got the chance to know the girl behind this blog. If not, you can always tweet & message me!
